About the role

CREW Carbon is seeking a Commercial & Finance Intern to support our go-to-market and fundraising efforts as we scale our carbon removal technology. This is a high-impact, entrepreneurial role at the intersection of finance, strategy, sales, and marketing. The ideal candidate is a graduate student or experienced undergraduate with a background in consulting, finance, or startup operations who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.

You’ll work directly with CREW’s leadership team to support the commercial & financial function through building sales and marketing assets, developing financial models, and supporting partner & investor engagement. You’ll also help implement scalable systems that improve how we operate across commercial and finance workflows.

Location will be onsite at our office in Brooklyn, or remote within the US.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market, policy, and customer research to support business development and investment strategy.
  • Develop sales and marketing materials such as one-pagers, case studies, slide decks, and technical summaries.
  • Prepare and synthesize customer and partner pre-call research, including regulatory context, buyer needs, and project alignment.
  • Help implement efficient procedures and systems for tracking BD/investor pipelines, customer touchpoints, and external communications.
  • Contribute to competitive analysis, pricing strategy, and value proposition development.
  • Build and refine financial models to support investor diligence, grant applications, and internal forecasting.
  • Support development of investor materials, including fundraising decks, data rooms, and responses to diligence requests.

Desired Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a graduate degree (e.g., MBA, MPP, engineering, finance), or a non-student with relevant experience in consulting, finance, or startups.
  • Previous experience in management consulting, investment banking, or a fast-paced GTM/startup role.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills – written, visual, and verbal.
  • Ability to structure and distill complex information for a range of audiences (investors, customers, partners).

Graduate Engineering Intern

About the role

CREW Carbon is seeking a Summer Intern to support engineering and project execution as we scale up our decarbonization technology. This role will assist with the installation and operation of CREW’s deployments at wastewater facilities to achieve carbon dioxide removal (CDR). The intern will work closely with both the engineering and science teams on cross-functional needs ranging from engineering design support to data management and analysis.

This is a high-impact, hands-on internship suited for a graduate student or a highly capable undergraduate with strong data and analytical skills. Preference will be given to candidates with prior engineering work experience or strong technical backgrounds. 

Location will be onsite at our office in Brooklyn, or remote within the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic US.

Responsibilities

  • Draft engineering drawings to communicate design intent and CDR operations.
  • Perform preliminary CDR equipment design including equipment sizing.
  • Support equipment supplier and contractor submittal reviews and communications.
  • Conduct analyses, review, summary, and reporting of CDR and wastewater process data from live deployments.
  • Support intake and early-stage evaluation of potential wastewater partners, including permits, record drawings, and water quality data.
  • Manage data pipelines and ensure timely distribution of key technical and operational data to internal teams.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals including cost estimates, scopes of work, and project documentation.
  • Participate in construction inspection, startup, and commissioning activities (as applicable based on intern location).

Desired Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a graduate degree (preferred) or completed undergraduate degree in chemical, civil, environmental, mechanical, or related engineering fields.
  • Previous work or internship experience in engineering, data analysis, or process-oriented environments strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Comfortable working with and interpreting technical data with spreadsheet-based tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel) and scientific programming languages (Python preferred).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

About the role

As the Carbon Program Manager, you will sit at the intersection of science, market engagement, and project execution, ensuring our carbon removal projects are rigorously validated, transparently credited, and effectively sold. You will play a key role driving excellence in measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) strategy and application. You will be responsible for leading the MRV program within CREW, quarterbacking new buyer application processes, and forging partnerships with external verifiers, protocol developers, registries, and carbon credit buyers. 

Your work will help to continue positioning CREW Carbon as a leader in the carbon removal industry, expanding our reach and impact. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented, mission-driven operator with experience in carbon markets, MRV, and climate tech project development.

This position is a full-time role. Location can be remote, with a preference for onsite at our office in Brooklyn or our office in New Haven.

Responsibilities

  • MRV Program Lead:
    • Lead development, coordination, and implementation of MRV strategies for CREW Carbon projects.
    • Collaborate with our Science and Engineering teams to ensure MRV methodologies are scientifically rigorous and aligned with industry protocols and verification requirements.
    • Lead end-to-end project validation and verification processes with independent third parties, including coordination and attendance at onsite visits.
    • Work with Operations, Science and Finance teams to optimize credit delivery schedules.
  • Protocol Champion:
    • Drive the development and refinement of CDR protocols tailored to wastewater mineralization, in collaboration with key registries and standards bodies (e.g., Isometric).
    • Represent CREW Carbon in technical working groups and engage with protocol developers and verifier organizations.
    • Monitor evolving standards, methodologies, and regulatory guidance in carbon markets to inform internal strategy.
  • Carbon Credit Sales & Offtake Applications:
    • Lead the end-to-end process of applying to CDR buyer programs and carbon marketplaces, managing initial RFI through successful onboarding.
    • Collaborate with commercial and leadership teams to pitch new buyers and manage deal execution against our carbon credit sales strategy.
    • Track offtake pipeline and coordinate reporting and delivery of credits with buyers.

Experience Requirements

  • Strong background in climate science, geochemistry, oceanography, or related fields.
  • Proven experience in carbon markets, carbon credits, and climate strategy.
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • In-depth understanding of global greenhouse gas protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge about science-based carbon reduction methodologies (SBTi).
  • Deep understanding of Life Cycle Assessment Methodologies for technology products with respect to carbon footprint.

CREW Carbon is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead project execution as we plan, design, and execute new  carbon dioxide removal projects. Our solution integrates dosing CO2 removal hardware and monitoring systems into wastewater treatment plants. This role involves overseeing the coordination of multiple internal and external team functions to implement installation of dosing hardware, manage technical operations, coordinate mineral deliveries, and drive project execution across multiple sites.

You will work closely with engineering, science, and commercial teams to meet CREW Carbon’s carbon removal and operational objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical project management expertise and operational leadership within a fast-moving, hardware-intensive startup environment.

This position is a full-time role, with travel expectations up to 30% to project sites across the US. Location will be onsite at our office in Brooklyn, or remote within the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic US.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project execution planning, site assessments, and technical deployment of carbon removal hardware.
  • Oversee end-to-end project management, including creating and maintaining timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple operational sites.

Experience Requirements

  • Bachelors in chemical, civil, electrical, or environmental, mechanical engineering (or similar field).
  • 5-8+ years of experience in construction engineering, construction management, or project management.
  • Experience with design, procurement, and construction of solid materials handling and dosing systems.
  • Understanding of water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Strong writing, project management, and communication skills.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and project cash flow management.
  • Experience overseeing subcontractors and ensuring they deliver on project requirements.

Bonus qualifications

  • Proficiency in CAD software for engineering or product design (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Fusion, etc).
