About the role
As the Chief of Staff, you will support the CEO and help drive disciplined execution across the company. You will focus on supporting the CEO’s office in translating strategy into structured plans and action, coordinating execution frameworks, strengthening project tracking and dashboards, and ensuring accountability across teams.
The Chief of Staff will serve as a force multiplier for the CEO: clarifying priorities, reducing cross-functional friction, and helping the organization scale with rigor as we deploy.
This position is a full-time role onsite at our office in Brooklyn office with travel 10–20% of the time.
Responsibilities
- Support the CEO to drive execution discipline across priority initiatives and help translate strategy into organized action.
- Act as a trusted force-multiplier for the CEO, helping drive organizational alignment to ensure priorities are met with speed and precision.
- Coordinate planning frameworks (annual planning, quarterly OKRs, execution tracking, dependency tracking) across the CEO’s priority initiatives and at the team level.
- Support adoption of agile or hybrid execution methodologies, ensuring tools are maintained and teams have what they need to operate effectively.
- Identify bottlenecks and resolve cross-functional friction, enabling the team to operate at their best.
- Tackle high-priority “messy” problems that don’t have a natural home — from vetting a new market opportunity to supporting a critical vendor negotiation.
- Synthesize quantitative and qualitative information to support CEO decision-making.
- Support active hiring efforts — coordinating searches, managing candidate pipelines, and helping onboard new team members as the company scales.
- Support review of NDAs, MSAs, partnership and vendor agreements before counsel review.
Experience & Qualifications
- 5–10 years in Chief of Staff, consulting, operations, PMO, or legal/contract-heavy roles.
- Demonstrated success implementing systems and improving execution discipline.
- Strong fluency in structured planning tools (Gantt, critical path, project dashboards).
- Experience supporting teams in adopting tools and ways of working.
- Comfortable reading and redlining contracts.
- Exceptional organization and written communication skills.
- Highly process-oriented and structured.
- Calm, rigorous, and detail-driven.
- Comfortable enforcing accountability without creating bureaucracy.
- Low ego, high ownership.
- Mission-driven and excited about climate infrastructure.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $120,000–170,000 commensurate with experience and location. We offer a competitive benefits package with multiple health insurance options (Cigna) including 100% covered plan, vacation, retirement, and equity options.
