We remove greenhouse gas emissions from wastewater

CREW’s technology enhances the natural
power of minerals to treat wastewater and store CO2 permanently.

Between 2-5% ↗ of GHG emissions come
from waste & wastewater.

Wastewater represents an untapped, concentrated source of CO2 produced by rapidly reacting microbes in existing infrastructure.

Biogenic CO2 emissions converted

from the fast to the slow carbon cycle presents a billion ton CO2 removal opportunity.

The CREW
Process

CREW partners with industrial and municipal wastewater operators to capture & store CO2 permanently, while treating wastewater effectively.

By accelerating these reactions in engineered and monitored reactor systems or existing infrastructure, we enable carbon dioxide removal that is robust and has a high attribution confidence.

Learn more about the science

Our approach to enhanced weathering has tangible benefits and advantages:

In wastewater applications, our process helps control process pH, reducing the need for costly and CO2-positive pH adjustments.

CREW's approach leads to process improvements
such as treatment capacity and compliance
in wastewater systems.

Deployed in closed systems, our sensor platform provides high-certainty measurement and quantification of durable carbon dioxide removal.
